Stuffed With Success: Another Sausage Workshop Sizzles!

On Sunday the 3rd August 2025, members once again gathered for what has become one of our most popular and hands-on club events — the Sausage Making Workshop. The atmosphere was full of good humour, shared learning, and, of course, the mouth-watering aroma of freshly prepared venison sausage mix.
The day was expertly hosted by our very own Andrew Grant, with invaluable support from Peter Reynolds, long-time friend of the Club and a highly experienced butcher. Their combined knowledge, patience, and willingness to share their craft ensured every participant walked away confident in their newfound skills.
A special thank you goes out to the members who generously donated venison for the day’s lesson. Your contributions make events like this possible and continue to reflect the spirit of community and stewardship that lies at the heart of our Club.
From complete beginners to seasoned home cooks, everyone rolled up their sleeves and got involved. By the end of the workshop, it was hard to tell who had been a novice at the start — the sausages being produced looked (and smelled!) every bit as good as those from a professional butcher.
Thank you to all who attended and contributed to another great Club event. We look forward to seeing even more members at the next workshop — and hearing everyone's feedback once those sausages hit the grill!
